January 17, 2021 – As a long time supporter and member of the CFAA, it should come as no surprise that Vitalis Engineering’s very own Director Lui Tai has been published in the latest issue of the CFAA Journal.
As the CFAA is a nationally recognized authority on fire alarm related information, the CFAA Journal is a well-respected source of information for Fire Protection and Fire Alarm related inquiries. As such, we at Vitalis Engineering are proud to have our Director published in such a reputable journal.
In his article, Lui talks about common misconceptions and myths in the field of smoke control. He covers code requirements for smoke control, different measures of smoke control, as well as how to interpret different measures and calculations in smoke control. Finally, he also covers smoke control testing procedures and testing matrices.
For anyone who wants to learn the basics of smoke control, or has any questions about the topic, this article is a must read. Those that have been following Lui will know that he has done multiple presentations on the topic at various venues across Canada (virtually and in-person).
